The Company
Bits on the Run is developed and maintained by Heliotrope BV, a Dutch limited liability company. The 6 employees of Heliotrope are fully dedicated to Bits on the Run.
Heliotrope B.V. is privately funded by One-O BV, the investment firm of Merien ten Houten and Robert Klep. Merien and Robert are the founders of Ilse Media, the largest online publisher in the Netherlands. They sold Ilse Media in 2001.

Management Team
Jeroen (design) is the creator of the incredibly successful JW Media Players, which have generated several million downloads since their launch in 2005. In addition, Jeroen has developed several other projects including Sync.nl, an online magazine for entrepreneurs and professionals as well as a advertising service called Longtail. Jeroen graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven, with honor.
Roel (general management) discovered the world wide web just after he started studying architecture at Eindhoven University of Technology. He has been working with it ever since. After Roel graduated with honor, he travelled around Asia for almost a year. Upon his return he preferred the web over architecture. Roel met Jeroen 7 years ago when they started to work for FKKC.
Bram (technology) was one of the core developers of the Ilse search engine, which dominated the Dutch search market around the turn of the century. After Ilse was sold, Bram and some of his fellow developers refused to move with the company to Amsterdam. Slowly, slowly all of them found other jobs. Bram ended up at Heliotrope where he met Jeroen and Roel.
