What happens with the old API?

As of june 1st, 2009 we run a completely rewritten API with several enhancements. For example, the API includes dozens of new calls and offers data in native PHP or Python formats. As of the same date, our old API (the one that used a frob and token for the authentication) has become deprecated.

The deprecation doesn't mean the old API goes offline though. It'll remain live for another six months, until december 1st, 2009. We strongly encourage you to update to this new API and would be happy to support you in the process.
