January 19th, 2010 16:17I have a similar issue, I have set up a custom template for conversion to flv, after conversion I click on that template to watch video and the file downloads rather than playing from your server, any help with what I've missed with my problem much appreciated

January 20th, 2010 13:59You should publish the video with the embed codes in the top-left corner of the video page in the CMS. At the bottom of those embed codes, you can find a preview link.

February 4th, 2010 17:45if I have multiple templates how do I know which version is at the preview link, I need different video formats for different clients, thanks

February 4th, 2010 21:12The default preview uses bitrate switching to pick the template that fits the user's bandwidth.
If you want to force a specific template in the preview, you should go to the player's settings and change its video quality to the template you want to use.

February 8th, 2010 21:12quality is not the issue, format is what I'm concerned with. I need to know that I am sending a link that is flash not h.264

February 9th, 2010 09:53All our embed links link to a flash player. Also, all videos are H.264 videos. All flash versions newer than 9.0.115.0 do support H.264 video.
If our player detects that no flash player is installed or that the flash player that is too old to support H.264 video, it will fall back to a javascript player that will just try to play the (fallback quality encode) that way.
We don't offer any option to encode to VP6 (the video codec that is most commonly used for .flv files).

February 10th, 2010 22:59Can you tell me what account name you use so I can verify where/why it's failing?

February 11th, 2010 20:03Hi, I looked into your account. Most videos were good. One failed on all encoding profile, and when I tried to look into the file I found out that something went wrong during the upload process. You will have to reupload the video that failed on all counts and chances are it will work this time around.

March 16th, 2010 14:03gentlemen this is getting old, still failing transcodes and waiting clients. the failed transcodes are the recent uploads, we stopped uploading new videos because of this. we need an answer quick and this is not on our end, we have uploaded from multiple locations with the same failed transcode issue occurring
