How to embed a video in Wordpress
Wordpress is a widely used blogging system which makes it really easy to use our videos. Read this tutorial to find out how you can add your videos to your Wordpress blog in less than 3 minutes!
Note: you can currently only embed our videos in a Wordpress blog that you host on your own server. Wordpress blogs hosted on wordpress.com do not support our videos.
To put your videos in a Wordpress post is as easy as it can be. To learn how, just follow the easy steps in this tutorial and you are posting in no-time.
Step 1
Simply start by logging in to your Wordpress blog and create a new post.
Note that you start out in visual editing mode, you can write your post here just like any other post. Let's add a video now.
Step 2
First we need a video we want to embed in our new content so login to your Bits on the Run account and select a videofile you wish to use from the list of mediafiles.
In the next screen select the Show preview and codes option in the bottom right of the page (1). From the next page we need the line of JavaScript embed code (2).
Select the entire line as shown below:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://content.bitsontherun.com/players/YUIRHIpP-496.js"></script>
Copy (ctrl+c / Command+c) this part and proceed to the next step.
Step 3
Remember how I said you would start out in visual editing mode? This is where we switch to HTML edit mode. To switch to HTML edit mode click the tab labeled HTML.
Step 4
When in HTML edit mode you can paste in the line you copied from the Bits on the Run CMS. (That line looking like this <script ....)
And that's all. Publish your post and view your videos in all their glory!
